This is Warren Kwok's Internet note pad, electronic diary, online rubbish journal, whatever you might name it ! It is an archive of my random thoughts in a chronological order. I am not good at reporting boring things and change them to lively. If you find this blog boring, sorry that it is your problem.

Next Generation WLAN
Belkin has developed a new WLAN Access Point using MIMO (multiple input multiple output) technology. It is said that the speed is four times that of 802.11g. Users can have a guarantee throughput of 100 Mbps.
So what is the cost. Surely, it will be much higher than 802.11 a/b/g. MIMO relies on multiple RF circuitries and higher signal processing power. If next generation of WLAN 802.11n is to enter the mass martket with success, it is important to drive the cost down similar to the current price levels of 802.11b and 802.11g products.
